How it works

AccessPay flexibly connects to your banks and accounts: Either via the SWIFT bank network or by receiving BAI2 files via safe file transfer. AccessPay pulls statements daily from your connected bank accounts, providing the rich and timely data required for accurate auto-reconciliation.

AccessPay instantly transforms this bank data into the correct format, before it is automatically delivered to Sage via API.

Direct Customer FAQs

What banks do you connect to?

AccessPay provides global bank coverage across 11,000+ banks worldwide, using the SWIFT network for international connectivity and BAI2 via sFTP. This means you are not limited to a shortlist of “supported banks” or dependent on Open Banking availability. If your bank can send standard statement files, AccessPay can receive them and deliver them into Sage Intacct.

How does the bank connectivity actually work?

AccessPay connects to your banks via SWIFT or secure sFTP, depending on the bank and region. Banks send daily statement files in standard formats, including MT940, MT942, camt.053, camt.052, or BAI2. AccessPay automatically receives these files, validates and transforms them, then delivers them into Sage Intacct in the correct format for reconciliation.

This replaces manual logins to online banking, the need to download PDFs or CSVs, and statement reformatting to make data usable in Sage.

How often are bank statements updated?

Statements are delivered daily by default, enabling more frequent and reliable reconciliation cycles. This supports faster period close, better cash visibility, and earlier identification of exceptions compared to monthly or ad-hoc manual processes.

Is this an official Sage Intacct integration?

Yes. AccessPay is an official Sage Premium Partner, with an integration accessed directly through Sage’s platform. There is no custom development, middleware, or manual file handling required by your team.

How is this different from Open Banking feeds?

Open Banking typically offers limited bank coverage, limited data depth, and requires regular re-authentication. When authentication lapses, the data feed stops. AccessPay uses bank-to-bank infrastructure instead, delivering data-rich statements, full coverage, and continuous automated delivery without user credentials or refresh cycles.

Does AccessPay support multi-bank and multi-account setups?

Yes. AccessPay is designed for multi-bank, multi-account environments. Within Sage Intacct, you can link multiple accounts and let AccessPay handle the underlying bank connectivity and data delivery.

What data does AccessPay actually deliver into Sage?

AccessPay delivers rich, standardised transaction-level statement data. This includes all information required to support accurate auto-reconciliation and downstream financial controls inside Sage Intacct.

How long does implementation take?

Implementation is typically lightweight and fast. You sign up through Sage Banking Cloud, select your banks, authenticate AccessPay, and instruct your banks to send statement files. AccessPay supports you with the bank instructions required to activate the service. Once banks begin sending data, statements start appearing automatically in Sage.

Is the data transfer secure?

Yes. AccessPay does not require online banking credentials, reducing operational and fraud risk compared to manual or credential-based solutions. Connectivity is handled through established banking networks and secure file transfer methods designed for financial data.

What is the pricing model?

Pricing is typically based on factors such as number of banks, number of accounts, and geographic coverage. This reflects the infrastructure required to maintain secure, automated connectivity rather than usage-based scraping or credential storage.

Who is this best suited for?

This solution is best suited for finance teams using Sage Intacct with multiple banks, higher transaction volumes, or tighter close and control requirements. It is particularly valuable where manual processes or partial automation have become operational risks rather than inefficiencies.

What Sage platforms do you integrate with?

AccessPay provides an official, pre-built integration with Sage Intacct, delivered via Sage’s Banking Cloud. AccessPay also supports statement data delivery into Sage BC Accounting, Sage 50c Accounts, Sage 100 Contractor, Sage 100c Accounts, Sage 200c Accounts, Sage 300 Accounts, Sage Evolution, Sage Intacct Sig, Sage Active.

Sage Partner FAQs

Who is AccessPay designed to partner with?

AccessPay works directly with Sage Sales, Sage VARs, Accounting Partners, and Consultancy Partners. The solution is a complementary layer that unlocks core Sage reconciliation functionality for customers who would otherwise struggle with unreliable or limited bank feeds.

VARs partnering with AccessPay gain a differentiated story for complex, multi-bank customers, and increase deal credibility for enterprise and international prospects

How does AccessPay help you win more Sage deals?

Bank statement retrieval is a critical precursor to unlocking Sage reconciliation features. AccessPay delivers richer, more reliable statement data than standard feeds, allowing you to demonstrate real reconciliation value during pre-sales. This reduces friction late in the sales cycle and improves win rates, particularly for multi-banked or international customers.

Does partnering with AccessPay reduce professional services revenue?

No. VARs and resellers are still responsible for configuring auto-reconciliation rules within Sage, which means you can continue to attach professional services fees even when AccessPay handles statement retrieval.

How involved are AccessPay during implementation?

AccessPay handles the bank connectivity and data delivery. Partners remain involved where they add the most value, specifically: Sage configuration, reconciliation rule design, and customer advisory and optimisation

How quickly can AccessPay be implemented for customers?

AccessPay Premium Bank Statement Feeds can typically be set up within two weeks, once the customer’s banks provide the required information. This enables faster time-to-value compared to manual or Open Banking approaches.

What happens if a customer’s bank is not available in standard Sage feeds?

AccessPay provides global bank coverage across 11,000+ banks worldwide, using the SWIFT network for international connectivity and BAI2 via sFTP. If a specific bank is not yet listed, AccessPay will confirm whether a connection can be established.

Which Sage platforms does AccessPay integrate with?

AccessPay currently integrates with:

  • Sage BC Accounting
  • Sage 50c Accounts
  • Sage 100 Contractor
  • Sage 100c Accounts
  • Sage 200c Accounts
  • Sage 300 Accounts
  • Sage Evolution
  • Sage Intacct
  • Sage Intacct Sig
  • Sage Active

This breadth allows partners to standardise bank connectivity across multiple Sage products.

How does AccessPay reduce support burden for partners?

Standard bank feeds often require re-authorisation, ongoing maintenance, or break when banks change endpoints. AccessPay establishes stable, automated connections that require minimal customer or partner support, reducing reactive support tickets and escalations.

What is the pricing model for partners and resellers?

Pricing is based on the number of banks connected, number of bank accounts, and number of users. AccessPay offers tailored reseller agreements, allowing partners to contract directly with customers and bundle AccessPay into their own offerings.
