AccessPay win coveted PayTech award

AccessPay have been crowned winners at the PayTech Awards 2021, gaining widespread industry recognition.

Organised by FinTech Futures, the win follows a year of strong growth for the Manchester FinTech who specialise in payments and cash management software.

In response to unprecedented disruption across the financial landscape due to COVID-19, the PayTech Awards recognise the hard work of teams and commended winners in several categories.

The Award – what did we win?

AccessPay came out on top for PayTech Team of the Year thanks to our ‘inclusive, ambitious and diligent’ working culture.

The firm were also proud to be shortlisted for best cross-border solution and best open-banking solution at the awards, against some of the biggest names in PayTech.

AccessPay’s innovative B2B payments and cash management solutions have continued to offer corporates an industry-leading service during a difficult 18 months.

Throughout the pandemic, AccessPay implemented various measures to ensure the personal and professional growth of its staff, including a monthly health and wellbeing allowance.

They welcomed 30 new members to the team and found new ways of creating an agile and dynamic working environment in both the office and at home.

Businessmen brainstorm ideas in modern office

As well as investing in the right talent, AccessPay brought in new employee engagement tools, such as CultureAmp, to guarantee one-on-one time between team members and their managers during national lockdown.

Head of HR and People Operations at AccessPay Laura McElroy explains: “Prior to the pandemic, AccessPay staff operated almost entirely from one open plan office in the centre of Manchester.

“Like many businesses, the pandemic meant the team was suddenly forced, what felt like overnight, to change an entire way of working to accommodate a fully remote workforce.

“Whilst this brought with it some issues the team pulled together in a remarkably positive way.”

Speaking of adapting to the new normal, Laura elaborates: “Going forwards, AccessPay will support a hybrid model of working, where both remote and office working are encouraged and supported.”

The Reaction – how has it been received?

After winning the PayTech Team of the Year award reactions across social media were very positive, with several industry insiders congratulating AccessPay on their success.
