In this quick Q&A Welsh-born account manager Robart describes the magic of his hometown and where he likes to take his two dachshunds Monkey and Mia
Tell us a bit about yourself
Hi, I’m Robart Hughes and I’m 29-years-old from a small village on the south of Anglesey, North Wales.
Where I grew up had one of the best beaches in the UK. In my childhood you would find me either jumping off the rocks on Llanddwyn Island into clear blue water or cycling through the forest with my friends.

What do you do at AccessPay?
My official role here is Account Manager. This means I get to know the majority of the AccessPay customer-base and all about their businesses.
Tell us a little about your career so far at AccessPay?
I’ve been at the company for almost three years now, starting as a member of the sales development team where I would reach out to potential customers and introduce them to AccessPay’s services.
After gaining a huge amount of knowledge I moved into the new business development team to bring customers on board, this role was invaluable to expanding my understanding of payments and cash management.
Recently I moved into the account management role – which I’m really enjoying. I have a very solid understanding of the AccessPay offering so I can help our customers with all their payments and cash management needs.
What is the favorite part of your role?
It may sound clichéd but my favorite part is just speaking to customers and getting to understand their businesses.
Giving them a call means I can find out what is important to them and it is easier to explore their cash management and payments process, so I know I am offering them the best service possible.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I enjoy finding exciting new places to take our two sausage dogs Mia and Monkey for a walk.
My favorite places are Newborough Forest, Delamere Forest and Formby beach. I love finding interesting hidden paths and seeing where they go. You will never find me on the beaten path, I am much more likely to be on the path less travelled.
What can you help our customers with?
Customers can come to me to add additional users, SUNs or file types. Also reach out if you would like to discuss any additional automation or security needs, which the AccessPay system can offer.
Typically I discuss expanding the platform usage to include international, CHAPS, Direct Debit and faster payments or can help if you would like to explore our cash management platform to improve the efficiency of their treasury team.
